At sixteen years old, Pawska had lived a long life full of love and companionship. But behind her sweet face was something that had been silently stealing her comfort, severe dental disease and infection.

Her quality of life had declined. She wasn’t eating well, she was clearly in pain, and her usual affectionate nature had dimmed. Her family knew something had to be done, but the cost of dental surgery felt out of reach.

The Turning Point

Dental disease is one of the most common and most painful conditions we see in senior cats. Left untreated, it can lead to chronic pain, infection, and a poor quality of life. But with proper treatment, it’s also something that can be dramatically improved.

In Pawska’s case, surgery wasn’t just a recommendation, it was her best chance at feeling like herself again.

Her family wanted to help her but didn’t have the means to cover the cost on their own. That’s where we stepped in.

How We Helped

Thanks to the support of the Locke A. Taylor Compassion Project, we were able to provide financial assistance to Pawska’s family. This helped make her dental surgery possible and lifted a huge weight off their shoulders.

For her family, it meant they could focus on her recovery instead of worrying about how to afford her care. And for Pawska, it meant relief from pain, a renewed appetite, and a much more comfortable life.

Why It Matters

Senior pets deserve comfort, dignity, and quality of life in their golden years. Sometimes all it takes is one procedure to completely change a pet’s future. For Pawska, that procedure was dental surgery.
